Job Description:

The Operations Manager will oversee and direct daily operations at the assigned location or department, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and inventory management skills to ensure all warehouse activities align with business and customer needs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education/ Experience: College degree or equivalent working experience is required.
  • Supervisory Experience: Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment preferred
  • Operational Knowledge: Strong understanding of warehouse operations, processes, and inventory management.
  • Experience working in a DOT-regulated environment, including familiarity with FMCSA regulations (Hours of Service, driver compliance, safety standards, and transportation operations)
  • Customer Service: Ability to deliver excellent customer service with strong communication skills (verbal, written, and listening) through email, phone, and in-person interactions.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to learn and operate client-specific systems. Experience using a WMS is preferred.
  • Detail-Oriented: Highly organized with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and resolve operational challenges effectively.
  • Dependability: Reliable, responsible, and dedicated to fulfilling work obligations on time.
  • Integrity: Upholds honesty, ethical behavior, and professionalism in all actions and decisions.

Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Senior Operations Manager/General Manager.
 
Job Pay

$65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year

  • Gather appropriate paperwork for each delivery assigned for the day.
  • Properly load and secure cargo for safe delivery to customers.

Job Description
Driver Helper to drive van or panel truck and transport freight and/or merchandise from warehouse to various delivery sites.

Perform basic math functions – add, subtract, multiply, divide.

Job Summary

  • Perform inventory utilizing customer reports generated from the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Utilize WMS reports to pull orders of merchandise and freight for incoming and outgoing orders.
  • Able to learn and retain customer proprietary computer systems.
  • Operate various forklifts and pallet jacks to organize orders for each customer.
  • Understand palletizing techniques to properly organize orders for each customer and minimize merchandise damage.
